Based on the Ardmore Studios lot just south of Dublin, Ardmore Sound is home to Ireland’s only Dolby licensed feature film mixing theatre and Ireland’s only purpose-built foley recording studio. As the country’s leading sound post-production facility for film and television, it turned to Switch Electrical Solutions when it required an upgrade to the lighting dimming system following the retrofitting of LED lamps.
The project involved replacing existing dimming packs with KNX dimming actuators and scene plates to integrate switching, dimming and light scene functionalities. Switch Electrical Solutions designed the system to allow client-accessible scene programming, ensuring a seamless user experience.
The client was particularly pleased with the smooth transition between scenes, the ease of use, and the visual feedback provided by the MDT Glass Scene plate. The successful upgrade has enhanced the overall lighting environment, aligning with Ardmore Sound’s commitment to delivering world-class sound design services.
