LightingEurope has issued two position papers related to the implementation of the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). The revised EPBD was published in the EU Official Journal on 8 May last and member States now have two years to transpose this legislation at the national level.
The Working Group on the Value of Lighting (WG VoL) has begun developing content to support the national implementation of this directive. As an initial step, it has created these position papers. Moving forward, it will continue to work on more detailed content for inclusion in implementation guidelines.
The revised EPBD impacts all involved in lighting and these guidelines/position papers will prove invaluable in ensuring compliance for LAI members, but also when dealing with (and advising) specifiers and installers on projects of all sizes.
